On 27th April 2012 the new Administration and Accounts Block of AFC's Head Office Paltan Bazar Guwahati was inaugurated by the Shri H.S. Das, IAS. Principal Secretary. Finance, Govt. of Assam who also handed over the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate to DR J Balaji IAS, Managing Director of the Corporation.

The new official website of AFC is also launched today (27th April 2012) .



The Assam Financial Corporation was established as a Joint State Financial Corp-oration under Section 3(A) of the SFC’s Act 1951 way back in 1954 covering the erstwhile-undivided Assam with two union territories of Manipur and Tripura and operating in the North-East Region for more than five decades.
